Reconstitution Reference
Concentration
Vial (mg) ÷ BAC Water (mL) = mg/mL
e.g. 5 mg ÷ 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL
Volume to Draw
Dose (mg) ÷ Concentration = mL
e.g. 0.5 mg ÷ 2.5 mg/mL = 0.2 mL
U-100 Syringe Units
Volume (mL) × 100 = units
e.g. 0.2 mL × 100 = 20 units
mcg → mg conversion
mcg ÷ 1,000 = mg
e.g. 250 mcg ÷ 1,000 = 0.25 mg
Storage note: Lyophilised peptides are stable at room temperature. After reconstitution with BAC water, store at 2–8°C and use within 4–6 weeks. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. BAC water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) inhibits microbial growth and extends shelf life vs sterile water.
